Job Overview
Sweet is looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer that is capable of owning development of a feature or project from beginning-to-end. This position will join a highly talent, experienced team of engineers and product managers building one of the most exciting consumer-oriented NFT product suites in the world.
This position is fully remote and open to anyone in the United States, United Kingdom or Canada.
Responsibilities include:
- Architecting and implementing complex transactional systems, including auctions, trading, transfers, and minting
- Partnering with the Product team to understand features and user experience
- Coordinating with our front end engineers on feature development
- Designing web APIs to support web and mobile
- Performing code and design reviews
Experience & Qualifications
- At least 8 years experience in software engineering
- Significant expertise with Python backend programming and web API development
- Familiarity with AWS platform services, serverless stacks, and developing Lambda functions
- Basic knowledge of blockchain principles or enthusiasm for learning
- Experience with MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, DynamoDB, consumer platforms, cache management, are all beneficial but not required
- Prior startup experience is strongly preferred
